Guided learning hours: 12 classroom learning over two days and six weeks self-study

Assignments: You will  have six weeks to submit your portfolio to the WPGUK

Who this qualification is aimed to Those who wish to gain the necessary skills and knowledge  to start a business
Structure 2 mandatory units
Assessment Method Assessment should be through the production of a portfolio of evidence presented for assessment to the WPGUK which is then forwarded to the IOEE to be verified by a qualified Assessor.
Entry Requirements There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
Progression Routes Those who complete this qualification may wish to undertake other WPGUK qualifications – further details of which can be found on our website.

Unit Overview and Main Outcomes

WPGUK05 contains 2 learning outcomes which will support the learner to be able to:

·         Understand the customer and business
·         Develop and understand a business plan

Assessment and Grading 

This unit is graded on a pass or fail. You must demonstrate evidence against all the listed learning outcomes to achieve this unit.

The following assessment methods will be used to generate evidence for this unit:

  • Professional discussions (classroom)
  • Observation (classroom)
  • Learner statement/case study (classroom)
  • 2-minute micro-presentation (classroom)
  • Peer and tutor evaluation (classroom)
  • Product evidence – portfolio – business plan, multiple choice and open questions (self-study)

You will  have six weeks to submit their portfolio to the WPGUK
